WNW: Lace Chokers

What's new today is these gorgeous lace and ribbon chokers. I knew as soon as I saw this lace that I wanted to make a choker out of them, but that they needed a pop of colour

My three different lace chokers.

As you can see, there's the option of adding a charm on, and the red and white felt so christmassy to me, that I felt the need to put a snowflake on. I'M SO EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS

This red and white choker with a snowflake just screams snowflake

I thought a blue option would make a nice contrast, I think it's my favourite out of all of them.

The blue and white lace choker is my absolute favourite

Last but not least is the burgandy option. they're fastened at the back with an extender chain which gives them an adjustable length, so it's bound to fit you.

Don't worry about sizing - it's adjustable!

MIM: Snowman Earrings

So it's ALMOST NOVEMBER, and that means I've been thinking about Christmas for, well ages, but it's almost socially acceptable to start talking about Christmas planning - so I'm going to start showing you some of my Christmas products - starting with these ADORABLE snowman earrings.

Look at the itty bitty snowman!

They were super simple to make, two different sized white pearl beads, a spacer bead to make the rim of the hat, and a tiny cylindrical bead for his top hat.

They're kind of understated Christmas yeah?

Each of these is unique, and there is quite a bit of variation in colour and size between pairs, but that's part of the delightful nature of handmade items. I've kept a pair of these for myself as my Christmas earrings, but there's loads in stock, so pop on over and have a look.#

Each pair is unique - just like you are

They're priced at just £3.50 for a pair - what a bargain!

And it's just so cute!

TBT: Wish Bracelets

Today's throwback Thursday is one of the oldest products in my shop. I first came across the concept of wish bracelets when I received one in my goody bag for supporting the Molke kick-starter (I've waxed lyrical about my love of Molke a lot before, so I'll leave it for the moment). My wish bracelets come on a KPD card, with a poem explaining what they are and how they work. The different versions each have a different poem as well.
My wish bracelet

The simplest style of wish bracelets is this charm version - it's a simple charm tied onto a waxed linen thread, with the idea that you make a wish when you tie the bracelet on, and when it falls off, your wish will come true!

I've also made this lush mermaid version - these are a bit trickier, as the shell won't thread onto the waxed thread, so I had to find a way around it, but I managed it.

I've also got these personalised ones, where you could have a word or name put on. I also have a bunch of different colours to choose from, I've got brown, white and black listed in my shop, but I've also got at least purple and red in stock, and it's easy enough to get hold of different colours, so if you have something in mind, drop me a message over on my facebook page.

I always finish the ends of my wish bracelets with a simple clear bead, I feel it really adds to a more finished look.

These are one of the cheapest products in my shop at £1 each - and I can do discounts on bulk buys as well. Don't forget, it's only 2 months until Christmas day today! (eeeek!) So I'll leave you with this picture of my Christmas wish bracelet. A perfect stocking filler.

TTT: TOMM

So many letter T's... Today's Top Tip Tuesday is The Organised Mum Method. I stumbled across this method online, because I'm always struggling to keep on top of the housework. Being a full time mum, a part time crafter/blogger and a part time teacher doesn't leave a lot of time for keeping a house clean.

Sneak pick of my lush house (which I love)
When I came across TOMM (as those of us in 'the method' refer to it) I was skeptical to say the very least - it boasts that you can spend just 45 minutes a day, and you'll have a spotless house. Now, I'll be the first to own that doesn't include tidying, but actually, keeping on top of the method has meant my house is tidier too.

TOMM logo

There's handy print outs and and even handier facebook group which is a great place to swap cleaning tips and ask for advice where Gemma (the inventor of the method), and other like minded people are able to answer your questions.

Trust me, it sounds like it won't work - but it really does!

SIS: Floral Chokers

Hi and welcome to style it Sunday. Today I'm going to be chatting about my floral chokers of which this rose one is my absolute favourite.

Obviously I'd be styling it with the matching earrings, and I think I'd love a subtle boho chic style to go with this. Something like this cream lace dress would look fab

I'd want to wear cowboy boots with this, I full on adore my cowboy boots, they're old and worn but I adore them. I can't find a picture of them - so I found you this super cute pair which would also work
]=]

I'd probably go full on cowgirl chic at this point and add in a worn denim jacket to complete the look.

I'm loving the idea of this outfit so much right now! Let me know if you have any inspiration of what you'd pair this necklace/earrings combo with

FF: Space Jars

Welcome to family friday. This week, I thought I'd share a little crafting that littlest princess and I have been making a lot of recently. Space jars. Seriously, my kid is obsessed. Every time I open her crafting cupboard she asks to make a new space jar - and since they're pretty easy, I generally oblige.

This isn't even our whole collection
We got the idea from this blog post which I found via pinterest (whichI spend far too much time on), They're super easy, and you'll need the following things

  • poster paints
  • water
  • a jar
  • glitter
  • cotton wool

Smaller ones are trickier, and I ended up using a pipette to fill the tiny ones

For the cotton wool I found that either cotton wool balls or just cotton wool works, but if you use the balls, it looks a lot better if you unravel them first. Our current glitter jar has stars in as well as glitter, which makes a great space jar.

I love the colours on this one

These are super quick and easy to make, and littlest princess (who is nearly 3) can do a lot of it on her own. I hope you guys have fun making some too!

WNW: More wish jars

As I hinted on Monday, this weeks what's new, is some newer versions of my wish jars. I love creating these, they're like happiness in a little jar. My earlier versions were all fairy themed, but I've had some different ideas since.

My elf jar is a variation on the fairy jar

Keeping with the fairy theme, I was asked to make some for a fairy themed birthday party, but was asked for a more gender neutral design, so I made this magical elf jar.

This jar is perfect for someone you love

This heart jar is perfect if you're in a long distance relationship, it has a heart charm and some heart confetti in the bottom, and the poem attached says it's filled with love and kisses.

A jar full of snow for a little Christmas gift

This one is perfect for Christmas - do you know that awkward person who says they don't want anything for Christmas, or says they're just dreaming of a white Christmas - which here in the UK is a bit of a hit or miss situation. This jar is full of fake snow and is a perfect gag gift or stocking filler.

My 'spoonie' wish jar

Whenever my friends are having a tough time, I always wish I could send them an extra 'spoon' of energy - if you feel the same way, you could always consider sending this. It doesn't actually contain extra energy of course, but it can often give you a boost just knowing that someone understands what you're feeling.

All of my different wish jars

I managed to take pictures of all of my wish jars lined up - there's one or two now, and I love this 'family photo' shot.

MIM - Wish Jars

Today's made it monday is going to let you in on a magical little secret. I'm talking about my little wish jars, full of magic and sparkles.

My Angel Wing wish jar

Each wish jar is a small glass jar with a few bits of glitter in the bottom - in the future I'm hoping to move to biodegradable glitter.

My mermaid wish jar contains a real shell

The charm inside the bottle is suspended by invisible thread which is held in place by the cork stopper in the bottle.

This cute little fairy promises to grant your wishes

I love making these, knowing that they're going to bring a little bit of magic into someone's life. Each of them comes with a card and poem attached - each of the poems written by me.

This is my best seller, my fairy godmother wish jar
Stay tuned on the blog for a sneak peek of some brand new wish jars on Wednesday

SCS: Molke

Yes, it's been well documented, I'm a Molkevangalist. I absolutely love love LOVE Molke bras, they've made my life so much better.

These bras are not wired and not structured like normal bras, but I don't mind saying that as someone with a 28KK bra size, these are the most supportive bras I have ever worn - I wear them for my ballet class and they work better than any sports bra I've eve had.

They're also super comfortable - you know that feeling when you get home at the end of the day and you're desperate to take your bra off? Not a think with molke, I could sleep in these they're so comfortable.

Last but not least, they're super stylist and come in funky colours - I currently have red/yellow, blue/pink, turquoise, plain white and plain black - I'm totally saving up for some more as well. They also make pants, so you can have some matching comfy undies! What's not to love.

TBT - Princess Bracelets

Today's throw back Thursday is a throw back all the way to my first product for Katy Page Designs. My princess charm bangles. Each charm bangle has three charms, carefully chosen and influenced by different fairytales.

Rapunzel is a purple wrapped bangle with a frying pan, a tiara and of course, a hairbrush!

Snow white is a red wrapped bangle with an apple, a hunter’s bow and arrow and that infamous mirror.

Cinderella is a blue wrapped bangle with a pumpkin, her fairy godmother’s wand, and a beautiful glass slipper.

Sleeping Beauty is a pink wrapped bangle with a castle, a crown and a spinning wheel – don’t worry, it doesn’t have a real spindle for you to prick your finger on though!

Belle is a yellow wrapped bracelet with a rose, a book and a cute little teapot!

Alice is a blue wrapped bangle with a mushroom, a teapot and a watch. Alice is a limited edition bangle - there are only two of these available, so if you want one, pop on over to my etsy shop

Top Tip Tuesday - Lemon Water

Those of you who know me know that I'm never seen without my handy water bottle nearby, and it almost always has a slice of lemon in. Now, that might seem like a lot of work, but I've a really easy cheat method.

First, you buy a bunch of lemons. And I mean a BUNCH - get them when they're in season and cheap. Slice them up straight away, and lay on baking parchment. Pop them in the freezer for a couple of hours - they'll take up a lot of room, but it's only for a couple of hours. Then when frozen, you can move them over to a ziplock bag - much more economic on space.

Then, every time you make a drink, pull out a slice of lemon (they shouldn't stick together using this method) and pop it in your water - fresh lemony cool water at the drop of a hat.

Why do I drink lemon water? Loads of reasons, but first and foremost because I really hate the taste of plain water, but lemon water I can stick. It has loads of health benefits as well, it's great for your skin, and it's a digestive aid! So, next time you can get your hands on some lemons, slice them up and prep them - and they'll keep you in sweet water for a long time!

Bonus tip: they also work well in hot water!

SIS Spoonie Bracelets

Hi and welcome to Style It Sunday

This is going to be a super chilled SIS - you know, my favourite kind of sunday!

Today's Style It is all about what you could wear with one of my spoonie bracelets. Now, the whole idea behind spoonie bracelets is that they're designed to be super comfortable, so you can wear them even on your worst days.

My purple (fibro awarness) spoonie bracelet

If you want more details on my spoonie bracelets check out this post.

So to start with I'd style it with pajamas! I love flannel pajamas, and I'd adore a cute floral pair like these ones

Floral Flannel Pajamas

You can't be comfy in PJs without a dressing gown. My must-haves for a dressing gown is huge and fluffy. White is also a bonus, because it's such a classic. I love this super fluffy one from The White Company.

Fluffy White Dressing Gown

Don't forget to add one of my adorable spoonie keyrings into the look. If you're going to go spoonie, go big or go home. Each of the spoon charms has the option of ordering with matching spoon earrings too. How cute would that look?

And to top of the style, I'd finish it off with a pair of slippers. I love these crochet slippers and I'm tempted to make a pair in super chunky yarn - how comfortable would that be?

Crochet Ballet Slippers
Top it all off with a mug of steaming hot chocolate and marshmallows.... could there be a better way to spend a Sunday?
